At a meeting of the Chapter of St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast on Wednesday 20th June two ecumenical canons were appointed following the retirement of the Revd Wilfred Orr and the Revd Ivan McElhinney.  The new canons are the Revd Ruth Patterson of Restoration Ministries and the Revd Dr Brian Fletcher, Minister of Cullybackey Methodist Church and a former President of the Methodist Church in Ireland.  The appointments have been welcomed by both the Bishop of Connor and the Bishop of Down and Dromore.

The installation is to take place on Sunday 21st October at 3.30 p.m. in the Cathedral –further details will follow closer to the time.
