After discussion and prayer and in accord with its canons the Provincial Executive of the Cono Sur together with its College of Bishops, did not ratify the election of the Ven. Dr. Michael Pollesel as bishop-coadjutor for Uruguay.
The meeting took place this past week in Montevideo (21 to 25 May). Pollesel previously had served the Anglican Church of Canada as its Secretary General. At the same time the Province promised its close cooperation with the diocese in its future decisions.

De acuerdo con sus canones, y despues de un periodo de discusion y oracion el Comite Ejecutivo del Cono Sur y el Colegio de Obispos no ratificaron la elección del Ven. Dr. Michael Pollesel como Obispo Coadjutor para el Uruguay. La reunion tomó lugar esta semana en Montevideo (el 21 al 25 de mayo). Previamente, Pollesel habia servido en la Iglesia Anglicana de Canada como su Secretario General. La Provincia a la vez prometio su ayuda en acompanar a la diocesis en sus decisiones futuras.
