Rwanda: Anglican Youth Camp Kicks Off in Rusizi

Rusizi/Nyamasheke — Hundreds of youth from Rusizi and Nyamasheke districts yesterday turned up for the two-week annual youth camp organised by the Anglican Church of Rwanda.

According to clerics at the church, the youth learn values that help nurture them into responsible citizens.

"What we teach the youth trickles down to the country's development because they are the leaders of tomorrow," Geoffrey Karegeya, the leader of the Anglican Church in Rusizi District underscored.

"We have reaped big, especially in the field of unity and reconciliation," he added, highlighting that youth, who had formerly taken part in the camps had spearheaded a crusade against divisionism within their own families and communities.
