Ministry Development Vacancy in New Zealand

Theology House is an Anglican ministry training institution in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Applications are currently being sought for the position of Director of Theology House. The current Director, Dr Ken Booth will retire at the end of September 2006. The chairperson of Theology House Board, Bishop David Coles, said the board is looking for applicants who have broad credibility as leaders and participants in the church, are comfortable with the ethos and diversity of the Anglican communion, and have academic and educational strengths in relevant fields such as theological disciplines, ministry formation, and adult education.

The position offers opportunity to the successful applicant to help this organisation respond to new challenges in delivering learning for those serving church and community.  The successful applicant will be expected to develop new projects according to his/her own strengths, consistent with the purposes of Theology House.

Theology House is the operational name of the College House Institute of Theology.   It is a charitable trust whose work is funded by fees, special projects, endowment and grants.   Theology House exists to equip people for lay and ordained ministry.  Its foundation is an expression of the Anglican Church although its commitment is ecumenical.

With this appointment there is the potential for working alongside the Diocese of Christchurch in programmes of ministry formation and theological education.
Applications should be made by June 30, 2006.   Full details of the position and application requirements are available from:
