UK delegation in talks with Ghana minister

A 25-member delegation from St Thomas Anglican Cathedral, Portsmouth, UK and the Isle of Wight Deaneries UK recently paid a courtesy call on the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr Nana Kwadwo Seiti at his residence in Sunyani, Ghana.

The group, led by Ms Marian Sysms, a pharmacy lecturer at Portsmouth University was in Ghana to visit St Anselm's Anglican Cathedral in Sunyani. The visit is aimed at strengthening the bond of friendship that exits between the two dioceses.

The minister briefed the group on investment potential in the region and particularly cereal farming. He welcomed them to return as investors.

The Rt Revd Thomas Brient, the Bishop of Sunyani, said he was happy to host the delegation adding that they would visit some of the Anglican-sponsored schools in the diocese to offer ideas on how the church can improve its management of schools.
